Personal Coaching

One-on-one time which serves as a powerful catalyst for personal growth and development

Why Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process that helps you to clarify your objectives, overcome obstacles and take actionable steps towards personal, and professional, growth.

It serves as a powerful catalyst for personal development, enabling you to unlock your full potential and achieve satisfaction in your life.

What is Coaching?

Coaching and counselling/therapy are different. Coaching focuses on goal setting and forward action whilst therapy address emotional healing and mental wellbeing.

The coaching relationship is unique, providing a safe space  to develop a partnership designed to help you achieve specific goals. Unlike therapy which focuses on healing past issues or mentorship which provides advice based on experience, coaching is forward focused, helping you to clarify your vision, strengthen your mindset and take actionable steps towards your objectives through tailored guidance, reflection and accountability.

Relationship

The coaching relationship is safe and unique where your coach acts as your partner in your journey for personal growth.

How does it work?

It is a unique process but generally an initial assessment will be made to understand your position, identify challenges and gain insight into what you want to change and develop. We will create a tailored plan with clear achievable steps. During regular, ongoing meetings, we will discuss progress, address obstacles and refine strategies. Sessions will encourage self-reflection, knowledge and understanding and enable us to adjust the plan as you grow and develop.

Process

Coaching is a personalised plan to help you achieve your goals in life.

What are the benefits?

Coaching is a personalised process tailored to your needs and learning style which encourages deeper self-reflection and awareness, problem-solving and decision-making skills and self confidence in a safe space at your pace.

It is beneficial for both personal and professional development, improving your work-life balance, stress management, negotiating skills, enhances decision-making and allows you to grow and thrive to your full potential

Benefits

Coaching enables you to unlock your full potential and achieve great satisfaction in your life.

We Work Together

As a result of the strong partnership developed, some clients who have previously engaged with therapy with me  continue with monthly coaching sessions to develop their lives further.

You do not need to have had therapy with me as coaching is different and stand alone. However, the benefit of working with a professional who is trained in both therapy and coaching, is that should an obstacle to your development be grounded in issues that haven’t been addressed, then we can also work together to overcome that.

If that sounds right for you, then please get in touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?
Coaching is different to counselling/therapy. It has a more structured approach and is geared towards achieving goals that you have for your life. Your coach acts as a partner in your journey of personal growth and can help gain insights and perspectives that can lead to transformative change. Basically, coaching is designed to help you achieve specific goals through tailored guidance, reflection and accountability in the form of action and challenge.
What is the difference between counselling and coaching?
Counselling addresses emotional healing and mental wellbeing whilst coaching focuses on goal-setting and forward action.
How many sessions will I need to have?
Each session lasts for 90 minutes on a monthly basis, although you may choose to have them more or less frequently. However, it is not possible to pre-determine how many sessions you will need. There are no constraints on the number of sessions you have. Coaching is really an investment in ongoing development.
What won’t happen in coaching?
Coaching has a more structured approach than counselling and is geared more towards goals and actions on your part that you want to achieve rather than working through problematic issues. So the sessions won't be about the past. I also won't be telling you what to do but empowering you to make your own decisions by self-reflection, action and accountability. Given that I am a therapist, however, should an issue arise that is holding you back from achieving your goals, then we would be able to address it.
How will I know if coaching is working?
I am committed to working with you to the highest standards of quality and service. Part of that commitment is helping you to achieve the outcomes you want. For this reason it is very important that you are involved in monitoring your progress and we will review our work together regularly.
Where do we meet?
You have a choice of meeting face-to-face at my practice rooms in Warton or online via Zoom or Teams depending on your preference.
How much does it cost?
Personal coaching benefits from monthly sessions which last for 90 minutes. Your investment is £150 per session. Payment can be made via BACS prior to the session.
